To be eligible for a Certificate of Completion, students MUST:
1. Attend all dates and hours listed.
2. Complete all online modules assigned to them via the UKG Pro Learning system by the due date assigned.
3. Sign a Venipuncture Consent Form that reads: - I consent to allow a venipuncture to be performed on me by a classmate for the educational experience on a live, non-patient arm. - I understand the risks associated with venipuncture are infection at the site, phlebitis, hematoma and catheter embolism. - I release Campbell County Health and its instructors from any liability associated with this procedure. - Location of class will be AHA classroom at CCH, First floor, above the Cancer Center
Note: Students under the age of 18 must have Parent or Legal Guardian consent to participate.

This course offers the student a basic introduction to phlebotomy skills and will prepare the student to apply for an entry-level job as a phlebotomist in a hospital or clinic. The student will learn the skills needed to draw a blood specimen from a healthy adult. This course is delivered in a blended model with online coursework, classroom lecture, and a hands-on skills lab. This course will not prepare the student for National Certification (which is not required in Wyoming).
- Define the role of the phlebotomist
- Review the legal responsibilities of phlebotomists
- Practice basic phlebotomy skills
- Demonstrate good customer service skills
