Notes: May 6, will include a 4 hour TEAMS meeting. Each student will have 16 hours of clinical in the Clinical Lab at Campbell County Health located in the basement of the Hospital. This course is a hybrid model containing both online and in-person training. The first date listed represents a MANDATORY pre-class meeting on April 8, 2025. On this date, the ONLINE assignments will be released to students. Students will have 4 weeks to complete the ONLINE assignments. All online homework and quizzes MUST be completed by the first day of class on May 8, 2025. Carefully note the dates and contact Darla Parks at 307-688-6042 or darla.parks@cchwyo.org with questions.

CNA students must:

  • have Basic Life Support certification (Healthcare Provider-level CPR training) - not included in CNA course or course fee. 
  • proof of a negative 2-step Tuberculosis (TB) Test - available at Public Health and Walk-in Clinics (student must pay out of pocket for this test)
  • 10-panel urine drug screen - available at most urgent/walk-in clinics (student must pay out of pocket for this test)
  • consent to a background check (price included in the CNA course fee)

Additionally, students are responsible for purchasing:

  • Textbook(s) ISBN: 978-0-323-79631-6 Mosby's Essentials for Nursing Assistants
  • Headmaster testing fee of $127 (price is subject to change by the WSBN)
  • WSBN Licensing fee of $120 (price subject to change by the WSBN)

In addition to instruction times, students must complete 16 hours of clinical experience. Clinical experience may occur in a patient/resident setting or in a laboratory setting. 

Students MUST pay in full within 24 hours of attending the Pre-class Meeting.  Any student who has not paid in full within 24 hours of the Pre-class Meeting will be DROPPED from the class and will NOT be eligible for a refund.
